Dance Elite Dance Club news

After 4 months of intense preparation, May 1st was the big day of Jacksonville’s Dancing With The Stars.  Beautiful people from all over the city came out to Bolero’s Grand Ballroom to see our local celebrities dance their heart out for a good cause.  The ballroom was transformed into a beautiful glittered hall and the magnificent food was donated by many of Jacksonville’s top restaurants.  The main goal of the evening was to raise money for funding the after-school programs of The Boselli Foundation.  We had a special treat when some of the Boselli children performed some of the dancing they have been learning. 

Dance Elite made a strong representation with myself and Daniel Davis.  We danced four dances in competition style dancing.  Our solo was the Tango and it earned a perfect score of three 10’s…perfect 30 from the judges!  It doesn’t get any better than that!  Final scores for the evening were determined by 2 things.  50% of the final score was amount of money raised , and 50% was scores of the performance that evening.  I am happy to report that Daniel Davis won 1st place and the MirrorBall Trophy!  Thank you to everybody who voted and supported us during the entire process.  It was such a fun experience!  Wanna see more pics…go here.  Enjoy!

     Have you seen Daniel Davis lately?  His dancing is really getting strong.  His solo, the Tango, is coming together and its hot, hot, hot!  Daniel has never danced prior to our start of practice in January and he has progressed so quickly.  We have practiced 2 to 3 times a week and have accomplished sooo much in such a short amount of time. 

     If you want to see more, come to our sneak preview to all Dance Elite members at the Practice Party at the Orange Park location on Friday, April 23 at 8:30pm.  We are currently maintaining first place, thanks to your votes!  If you haven’t voted yet, its not too late.  Every vote is only $1 with a minimum of $10.  Proceeds go to The Boselli Foundation so vote now.  Tickets to this Gala event are still available, but going fast.  Get your tickets before they are gone.  Hope to see you there!

Dance Elite is participating in the local Dancing With The Stars event this year!  The Gala event will take place on May 1st at Boleros Grand Ballroom in Jacksonville.  Local celebrities will compete in freestyle and show dances and your votes decide who will get to bring home the mirror ball trophy and be Jacksonville’s favorite dancer!  We are raising money for The Boselli Foundation with every vote that you cast.

The star I’m dancing with is Daniel Davis and we are having a blast!  Our show dance will be the Tango and it’s starting to sizzle.  You can get involved right now by casting your vote.  Each vote costs only $1 and goes towards helping children living in at-risk neighborhoods in Jacksonville.  As of right now, we are in 1st place and we’re working hard to keep it that way!
