Dance Elite Dance Club news

Big successes at the US Pro/Am Dance Championships TA Competition left students and their teachers smiling and prompted July 4th celebrations to begin early! With an outstanding amount of first place winners, Dance Elite Dance Club stole the show impressing the judges and crowds alike from the early morning Smooth Division on through to the sexy Rhythm and Latin Dance Division in the evening.

Dance Elite would like to proudly recognize our students astounding placements in Sunday’s competition:

• Margo Shannon won Top Student and Britney Vu won Top Junior Student of the entire competition
• Michael Hershey won Jr. Mr. Gentleman
• Dan Richardson won Division C Mr. Gentleman
• Tiffany Thompson won Lady Division A Miss Elegance
• Tiffany Thompson won Pre-Open Bronze Proficiency Winner
• 2nd Place Overall Mr. Gentleman Instructor won Sean Mochocki
• Special recogniton to Tara Thompson for her amazing West Coast Swing Solo

Today is Valentine’s Day and we love our students!  We are showing our love with a complimentary buffet at the Orange Park location at 6 pm.  Then stick around for the group classes afterwards.  At 7:00 is the romantic Waltz, and at 8:00 is the sexy Cha Cha.  Stop by and say hi!

Have you made plans for Valentine’s Day yet?  The most romantic day of the year is fast approaching and you want to make sure you plan something special for your loved one.  A great way to kick-off the weekend is our Valentine’s Party tonight, February 11, at the Avondale location.  Festivities begin at 8 pm with a covered dish buffet of delicious dishes that our members have prepared, followed by a night of fun and dancing until 10:30 pm.  Cost is $25/person or FREE to Members.  We also have gift certificates available for some lessons that you could book on Valentine’s Day…or whenever you would like.  So, what are you waiting for?  Your Valentine’s weekend is planned!  Call 388-9952 and ask for Brittany for more info.

We kicked of National Ballroom Dance Week with a dance party at Boleros Grand Ballroom on Friday, September 17, 2010.  All of the members of the Jacksonville Dance Alliance came together for a night of fun and dancing.  The JDA is a cooperative effort of Jacksonville-area ballroom dance studios with the goal of promoting the art of ballroom dance.
